🎮 What Is Okey Rummy?
Okey Rummy is one of the most popular strategy games in Kuwait and the Gulf region. The game combines planning, concentration, and decision-making skills as players compete to create valid combinations and use all their tiles before their opponents.
The game consists of 106 tiles, and each player starts with 14 tiles before building combinations to enter the game and compete for victory.
Players create combinations through:
- Run: Consecutive numbers of the same color.
- Set: Matching numbers in different colors.
In addition, players must reach at least 30 points before placing tiles on the table and officially joining the round.
🧠 Important Joker Rules
- The Joker takes the value of the tile it replaces.
- For example, if the Joker replaces the number 8, it counts as 8 points when opening the game.
- However, if a player finishes the round while still holding the Joker, it counts as 30 penalty points.
- Therefore, the Joker remains one of the most important strategic elements in Okey Rummy.
