🎮 What Is Okey Rummy?
Okey Rummy is one of the most popular strategy games in the region. The game challenges players to build valid tile combinations while planning ahead and adapting their strategy throughout the match.
The game consists of 106 tiles. Each player starts with 14 tiles and aims to create valid combinations before becoming the first player to use all their tiles.
Players build combinations through:
- Run: Consecutive numbers of the same color.
- Set: Matching numbers in different colors.
Furthermore, a player must reach at least 30 points before placing tiles on the table and officially entering the game.
🧠 Important Joker Rules
- The Joker takes the value of the tile it replaces.
- For example, if the Joker replaces the number 6, it is counted as 6 points when opening the game.
- However, if a player finishes the round while still holding the Joker, it counts as 30 penalty points.
- Therefore, the Joker remains one of the most valuable strategic elements in Okey Rummy.
